Magical Moment 512, "Swimming in the Sky"

Eddie and I stumbled across a beautiful park in Bernardsville, NJ. I had never seen such a pristine paradise, and to top it all off, wouldn't you know it? A family of ducklings. (Click to enlarge)

Five happy babies glided behind mamma through a perfectly painted masterpiece of sky.

The water was so clear, it was as if they swam through thin air.

This Blue Heron was surrounded by lush color, above and below him.

They camouflage well with the ripples they create.

And continue on to swim in the sky.

Until they hit a shallow point! Uh oh. It's not the sky after all. Could have fooled me.

Isn't it fun to find these "magical" places? You must visit this park often and share your experiences with us. Maybe the blue heron will give you some opportunities for close-ups.

Beautiful shots, Elizabeth ! Isn't it great when you 'stumble' onto a place like this ! And with such crystal clear water. Some of those shots look more like paintings !

Magical Moment 620, "Lilac Garden"

Eddie and I visited the Lilac Gardens at Ringwood Manor in New Jersey, a pristine and beautiful state park with 8 species of lilacs and several varieties within. We went on a rainy afternoon, which turned out perfect because the rain stopped for us when we got there, and began again as soon as we left. It also decorated the plants with gorgeous rain drops, adding to their beauty.

And now for a quick game of "Where's Elizabeth?"
And "Where's Eddie?"
~~Have a great weekend! ~~

Magical Moment 634, "Old Toy Trains"

Hello my blogosphere friends! I would like to wish you all a very happy New Year!
I would also like to share with you a video that I made over the Holidays so that you can catch up with my sweet Sprout and happy Jay Bird. Sprout will turn 3 in February and Jay Bird just passed 18 months! We are very happy in Atlanta and have recently settled into a new home. I'm truly wishing you all happiness, peace, and joy. This may be difficult to do at times, but it is certainly made easier surrounded by loved ones.

Peace my friends!
Love, Beth, Eddie, Sprout, and Jay Bird (Ricky and Elan)

Magical Moment 420, "The Critter Awards"

I'm nearly 28 and I still love to go to the zoo - even with no nieces or nephews to use as an excuse. I went to the Turtle Back Zoo in NJ with Eddie today. It was cold and rainy, but I thought I'd take the opportunity to have fun snapping photos of my favorite critters.
The Happiest Critter award goes to: Cassie the Sea Otter This is Cassie's first nomination as she is a new addition to the zoo. She thanks her parents for making her so cute, and the zoo keepers for feeding her and keeping her energy up to entertain the guests.
The Most Hypnotizing Critter award goes to: The Sea Horse The Sea Horse was also nominated for Brightest Critter.
The Brightest Critter award goes to: The Blue Fish The Blue Fish and the Sea Horse are considered rivals in many aspects, but personally maintain a good friendship. "We work together in our goal to inspire awe in our spectators," said the Blue Fish.
The Best Dressed Critter award goes to: The Peacock The Peacock has won this award sever…
